Persuasiveness; he has been the King of the Crossroads, after all, being persuasive is just a part of the job he’s particularly good at. His newfound power; He’s a lot more powerful now than before, therefore he is more of a threat. His title; it allows him to have demons at his disposal to do his own bidding.
WEAKNESSES: Temper; Crowley has a horrible temper, he normally gets worked up over small things. Arrogance; being a high-level demon all these years has gotten to his head, and he believes that he can get out of almost anything. Patience; he doesn’t like waiting for the things he needs or wants. His new title; though it provides him with strength, it also gives him even more enemies to deal with. Salt (duh) Devil’s Traps (duh)
PERSONALITY: Crowley, being a demon and all, is typically arrogant and looks out only for himself. He is rather intelligent though, and tends to manipulate other people into doing his bidding, without actually getting his hands dirty, unless it’s absolutely necessary. He is very sadistic in nature, and doesn’t mind causing people pain, in fact, he rather enjoys seeing people vulnerable and hurt. You could say that he likes putting on a good show for people, lying in order to get them intrigued, than pulling the carpet out from underneath them, making them unsure of what to think. Crowley is rather good at getting his way, as well, and tends to work alone.
He is a rather unique demon, though, and he stands out from the ranks of his brothers and sisters. Crowley despises Lucifer, and hasn’t been afraid to show it, since the devil is safely locked in the cage. Not to mention that fact that he is now the King of Hell, which boosts his all ready large ego even more. Also, he can be rather witty at times, coming up with smart comebacks, and calling people by belittling pet names. Crowley is also rather good at what he does, which is making deals, and he has characteristics that contributes to his success. These include his charm, and his ability to persuade someone to sell their soul to him (not that humans in general are all too hard to persuade).
Crowley also has always had a bit of a temper, which is shown in situations when he can’t help but feel overwhelmed. He resorts to yelling at whoever happens to be around, or taking it out physically on one of his henchmen. He also always tends to have a trick up his sleeve, or a ‘just in case’ plan, which shows how thorough he can be when it comes to something that he wants.
HISTORY: Crowley’s history is a long and detailed one, though; he doesn’t care much about his past from when he was actually human. He worked diligently from the start of becoming a demon, slowly climbing the ranks of other demons. He ended up making quite an impression, leading him to become one of the most recognizable and powerful demons in hell. He is best and most known to be Lilith’s second in command and rumored to be her lover, though he has never admitted to this. He would go along with whatever she said, never calling her out once to ensure staying alive, until the day came when she was finally killed by the Winchesters.
He’s been a free man ever since, doing as he pleased, making as many deals as he could with unsuspecting humans. His life was good, but he craved more. Crowley came to terms with what Lucifer really was, a petulant child with major daddy issues, and at how he actually treated his own creations. It bothered him, the fact that once Lucifer successfully wiped out himankind, that he would do the same for demons. Now Crowley had always been for staying alive for as long as he could, and wasn’t about to let a little brat ruin his everlasting life, so he enlisted some help from two boys known for their vendetta against all things evil.
The Winchesters, the very same Winchesters that destroyed Lilith. Crowley practically lead them to his whereabouts, giving them the key to defeated Lucifer, or so he thought. The colt, being rumored to destroy any supernatural creature. Crowley was confident that it would work against the devil, and that he would be in the clear. That is, until he had heard that it didn’t work. And that he had also heard that Lucifer knew he wanted him dead. This caused him to go into hiding, and finding the boys again in order to help them find the remaining horsemen in order to get their rings.
Crowley successfully found the whereabouts of Pestilence and Death, giving the boys as much as he could offer, and then disappeared, not wanting to get his hands anymore dirtier than they all ready were. He was content, having gotten the boys to do the very thing he had hoped. They locked the devil in the cage, and with the devil gone, it ensured him an even longer life, and in the process becoming the King of Hell.
Things began looking up for Crowley, though he found the other demons somewhat annoyances at how destructive they were, and no matter how hard he had tried to control them, they would not obey. Thus, came to him the idea about purgatory. That in order to gain control and instill his reign over hell, he needed those souls for their power. He looked upon Castiel, in order to help him open purgatory, and get the souls, taking advantage at how desperate Cas had been to stop Raphael.
Once they were close to opening the gates to purgatory, Castiel had betrayed Crowley, leaving him no choice but to turn to Raphael. The two were also very close to opening purgatory, until it is revealed that Castiel tricked the both of them and had taken in all of the souls.
And then the whole thing with bloody Dick Roman. The leviathans were released as Castiel had taken the souls, leaving the angel dead and gone, allowing the Leviathans to wreak havoc. Sure, they were messy creatures, but they didn't last too long.
Now, Crowley is in firing range. The struggle to keep the Gates of Hell is becoming harder as each day passes.
OUT OF CHARACTER
NAME/ALIAS: Dana HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN RPING: 2-3 WHERE DID YOU FIND US: I created this jaunt RP SAMPLE:
Crowley sharply exhaled as he pushed his way down the empty street. It was close to midnight, and it didn’t seem like there were anyone out and about at this hour, which gave him some time to himself, to just observe the scenery. He had been confined to his mansion for what seemed like years. It was nice to finally get out, and just wander, in hopes that he’d find something to occupy his time with, because there was never much to do when lying low. As mush as he hated it, it was the only thing he could do as of now. Castiel was the new god, and he sure that he had plans for him. Plans that he wanted no part in, because even though it was thanks to his brilliant idea that Castiel had so much power, he would use that against him.
It somewhat impressed him, though, seeing how far an angel could fall in order to do what they think is right. Crowley could see that Castiel was desperate to stop Raphael from the beginning, and he used that to his advantage. Not to mention tossing in a few souls to Cas from the beginning, in order to show him how invested he was in their little deal. Crowley wasn’t all too sure if he was going to hold up his end of the bargain from the start, teetering to the edge a few times, but he needed the angel in order to figure how they were going to get purgatory. And once they did, the angel turned on him.
Talk about being surprised. Though, again, he was impressed at how low Castiel had gone from when they had first began working together. A small grin formed on his lips at the thought of his reaction when Crowley had returned with Raphael. It was entertaining to see how much the angels have changed in the absence of their God. He turned a corner, jingling some change in his pocket. There was a homeless man that he completely ignored, while playing with his change; it was always fun torturing those poor individuals. Hell, he could have made a deal right then and now, but the thought of taking in a whiff of that persons breath stopped him.
Plus, that wasn’t what he was out for. Crowley had decided that he needed some fresh air. It hasn’t been all that long since Castiel had taken over, but Crowley had been in hiding ever since. Sure, he’s gotten out before but not for too long due to his paranoia. He was distracted by his thoughts by a cracking sound, that came from behind a nearby trash can. ”Come on out, I know there’s something there,” He mused, a small grin on his face. How interesting. Crowley waited, staring intently at the trash can, waiting to see if it wasn’t his paranoia getting the best of him again.
